Bark Stripped From Tulip Poplar

Zach Lancaster, 31, of Canton, works with other BarkClad employees to strip away the bark from a felled Tulip Poplar in Enka, Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Lancaster said he’s been in the bark-stripping business since 2007, and he keeps doing it for the good money. “You don’t have no stress out here in the woods,” he said. BarkClad is a Haywood County-based company that strips bark from trees to use as house siding before they go to the sawmill. 7/16/14
